Welcome!

I’m glad you are here.

I’m a curious person. I wonder if you are too?

When I read the Bible, I often have questions. Sometimes they are simple questions that can be answered by doing a quick search on the Internet. What are bitumen pits? (Genesis 14:10) Sometimes they are deep theological questions. What does it mean to call upon the name of the Lord? (Joel 2:32) Sometimes they are historical or geographical questions. Why did the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans? (John 4:9)

This is where I delve deeper into my questions and research, wrestle with, and meditate on what I read in the Bible. I invite you to join me in the journey of growing deeper in the knowledge of the Lord. (Colossians 1:10)

“Whatever was written in the former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.”

Romans 15:4

I would love to encourage you to read along with me… Read more: Reading Through God’s Word
  • Why write?
In the past, I have never ever thought about writing or attempting to become a writer. It’s not that I’m particular bad (or good) at it. My bachelor’s degree was art based,… Read more: Why write?

  • His Provision Covers Us
Temptation entices us like an irresistible dessert promising delight and satisfaction. Only after succumbing to the temptation do we realize that our immediate desires were only temporarily satisfied, yet the long term affects come with a price. Regret or shame may follow such indulgences. Remorse then motivates us to quickly cover up our poor choices.… Read more: His Provision Covers Us
  • Gate N13
A short story. The boarding pass in my hand said Gate N13, destination Reykjavik. A vacation to Iceland in the dead of summer sounded like heaven to me. I don’t do heat. I really don’t do a hundred-five-degrees-with-eighty-one-percent-humidity heat.  The psalmist’s thought, “My strength was dried up as by the heat of summer,” nailed how I felt about… Read more: Gate N13
